Located next to the Pleasant Hill Elementary School, Play and Learn School is a privately owned, second generation operated school. Our programs begin at 18 mos and continue to 9 years. Thus, we are not only a childcare and daycare center in Pleasant Hill. We are also a best-in-class preschool not only for Pleasant Hill but for nearby communities such as Walnut Creek, Lafayette, and Pacheco. Our programs  year round ,  caring for children 18 months to 9 years of age. Our hours are from 7am -6pm. Our school was voted Best Center of 2008 by PACE (Professional Association for Childhood Education).

Our Staff

The heart of the school is its staff and more than half of the staff have been with the school for 10 years or more. All the teachers are college educated in early childhood education and continue training yearly. Our Directors work with a staff of 19 teachers to create a loving environment that was voted best center of 2008 by the Professional Association for Childhood Education (PACE).

Our Goal

The goal at Play and Learn is to provide experiences and materials that allow for the children to develop physically, emotionally, and intellectually to create a stronger sense of self. A positive self-image enables an individual the confidence to achieve their goals.
